De acordo com o projeto original ela se chamaria Praia Formosa, substituindo a, de certa forma acanhada, esta\u00e7\u00e3o anterior, tornando-se o ponto de origem e chegada de importantes e diversos servi\u00e7os ferrovi\u00e1rios ligando a Capital do Estado \u00e0 cidades da Regi\u00e3o Metropolitana, do interior do Rio de Janeiro e at\u00e9 de outros estados.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Infelizmente nos anos 2000 ela foi desativada e encontra-se at\u00e9 o momento lamentavelmente abandonada e depredada, tendo em suas plataformas v\u00e1rios equipamentos ferrovi\u00e1rios raros e hist\u00f3ricos, igualmente abandonados.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Imagens valem mais que mil palavras, portanto abaixo vamos apenas exibir imagens da esta\u00e7\u00e3o, desde suas origens at\u00e9 a atualidade, mostrando o que ela poderia ser e como est\u00e1 hoje.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Ressaltamos, al\u00e9m disso, que a equipe t\u00e9cnica da AF Trilhos do Rio j\u00e1 elaborou diversas propostas e projetos para a esta\u00e7\u00e3o e regi\u00e3o.
